Valentine’s Events

January 2024

We’re celebrating Valentine’s Day our favorite way: DANCING! Heat it up at our Strong & Sexy Valentine’s Frisky Friday, get your sweetheart on the dance floor at our Ballroom Romance partner workshop or feel the Love en L’Air at an all-levels ballet masterclass.

Space is limited at all of these events, so sign up while you can!

Strong & Sexy Valentines Frisky Friday

In addition to our usual booty-shaking, hip-grinding fun, we’re including a sex toning workout in this V-Day weekend class focusing on exercises such as shoulder bridges and plank variations that have plenty of useful “extracurricular application.”

Whether you’re looking to bring a sexy routine home to your Valentine or you just want to have fun with your besties, this dance party will leave you feeling strong and empowered. Did we mention there’s wine and chocolate?

Ballroom Romance Partner Workshop

Flowers, cards, dinner out — those are all well and good, but why not make this Valentine’s Day extra memorable by connecting with your sweetheart on the dance floor?

Join us the afternoon of Saturday, Feb. 10, for partner dance basics, champagne and chocolate desserts before you head out to a pre-Valentine’s Day dinner or home to “practice” your moves. (Sorry, we just couldn’t resist…)

Over the years, this collaboration with sister company Ballroom Bliss has featured a variety of partner dance styles, from swing to tango. This year, we’re getting extra romantic with an intro to bachata. Start with a breakdown of the basic steps, then layer in spins, dips, pivots and more. Then learn a short routine to finish off with a bang.

Even if you don’t plan on frequenting a Latin social dance club, the steps as well as the partnering skills you’ll learn can easily translate to other types of music. This informal style can be adapted to fit with lots of popular music, making it one of the most useful partner dances.

Absolutely no experience required — we’ll teach you all the background you need to know to lead and follow. After about 90 minutes of dancing, we’ll also treat you to champagne and a sampling of decadent treats.

Our “Ballroom Romance” workshop takes a departure from our usual focus on fitness. Wear whatever you like — even dressier clothes for those who might be going out to dinner directly afterward will be perfectly suitable. For footwear, we recommend smooth-soled dress shoes, moderate heels or flats, but sneakers will also do the trick.

  • Saturday, February 10 — 3-5 pm with Deb
  • Rittenhouse studio (1923 Chestnut St)
  • $60 per couple or $30 per personPre-register early and SAVE: Get 10% off by purchasing your tickets by Jan. 31!

Please note that while this workshop focuses on partner dancing, that doesn’t mean you can’t join in if you’re unattached. Solo attendees will partner up with each other or the instructors.

Love en L’Air Ballet Workshop

Also in the Valentine’s spirit, we’re celebrating our love for ballet in this all-levels workshop. Instead of traditional piano music, the entire masterclass will be set to love songs. Warm up at the barre, then learn a love-ly center floor routine. Enjoy champagne and chocolate treats afterward. Beginners encouraged! Come dressed in red or pink.

  • Sunday, February 11 — 1-2:30 pm with Beverly
  • Rittenhouse studio (1923 Chestnut St)
  • $25 tickets include refreshments (Members get 20% off!)
