It’s been three years since we launched this little dance fitness business, and what an amazing ride it has been so far! We’re always looking for excuses to throw dance parties, and this seems like a pretty good one. So come join us on Saturday, May 25 for nearly 3 hours of stretching, dancing and more dancing.

The event will take the place of our regular Saturday line-up at the South Philly studio. We’ll still have Slow Jam Stretch and Zumba, but they will be shortened in order to also make time for two other classes: Tap and Body Jam.

Did you hear that all of you who’ve been asking about tap over the years??? It’s been challenging to figure out how to make a tap class work since tap shoes would damage the studio floors. We’re borrowing plywood boards to protect the floors for this demo class taught by our hip-hop/modern maven, Angela. You absolutely do NOT need taps to participate in this class — sneakers will work just fine. Nor do you need any tap experience. However, if you do plan to wear tap shoes, please note that when you RSVP on our Facebook event page so we can make sure we have enough plywood.

Body Jam is a high-energy progressive dance program created by Les Mills. Guest instructor Jacqui will be coming in to give us a taste of what it’s like.

See below for the tentative line-up. Come for any or all of the classes. It’s only $5 for the entire thing!!! And if you’re a member, it’s absolutely free!

For our ballet dancers – don’t worry, we will still have ballet and semi-private pre-pointe at Major Moment on May 25, no changes to the schedule there.

We realize that some of you may be out of town for the long weekend. But if you’re not, please come dance with us! After all, we won’t have classes on Memorial Day Monday, so get your workout in ahead of time. 🙂

  • The Arts Parlor, 1170 S. Broad St.
  • FREE for members, $5 for anyone else. And yes, that $5 includes any or all of the classes. Start at the beginning or drop-in whenever you can.
  • Bring water, comfortable sneakers or dance shoes, tap shoes if you want
