We’ve got your tap workout covered with our Tap Tonic class, now come and join us to polish your technique!
In these 40-minute small-group classes you’ll brush up on your tap sounds, terminology, timing and rhythm without getting lost in a large-group setting. We’ll break down basic tap steps and lead a series of exercises to help you perfect each sound. In addition to hops, shuffles, flaps and time steps, you’ll also travel across the floor and learn short combinations to reinforce the technical exercises and drills.
Our Tuesday night technique class is geared toward beginners and advanced beginners. While no prior tap experience is required, please note that the pace of instruction is designed to accommodate a range of beginners: new tappers, those who might be reviving childhood tap skills and students who have been working with us for several months. We occasionally also offer “Tap Bootcamps” for absolute beginners. Please contact us if you’re interested in attending a future session!
Enrollment for tap technique classes is capped around eight students to ensure individual attention. Guarantee your spot — and save off the drop-in price — by purchasing a monthly discount pass. Drop-ins are welcome at the regular price ($12) if space allows, simply head to our online schedule to reserve your spot.
