More Outdoor Dancing

It was such a treat to see some of you IRL at our recent “Parties in the Park” that we just had to keep them going. So, starting this month, we’ll be hosting classes TWICE a week at Markward/Taney Park in Center City!

Outdoor Dance Party Boot Camp
Amp up your workout with explosive, athletic movements woven into nonstop dance fitness routines.

Cardio Parties in the Park
Expect a mix of pop, hip-hop and perhaps even a few Latin/international songs at these high-energy outdoor events. Beginners welcome, just jump in and follow along!

When you get to Markward (400 S. Taney St, located near 26th and Lombard), look for us on the blacktop area between the playground and the basketball courts. Per local safety regulations, face masks are still required outside. Also wear supportive shoes and don’t forget to bring water (and possibly sunscreen or bug spray depending on the time of day!) The rec center bathrooms/indoor facilities remain closed to the public, so please plan accordingly. *We need at least 5 confirmed dancers in order to offer these special classes, so please sign up in advance on Mindbody if you’d like to attend. In case of inclement weather, we will contact anyone registered to offer to reschedule, relocate or refund the class. 

In-Studio Ballet & Pointe

We’re easing ballet back to the studio, starting on Sundays in September. Be sure to sign up well in advance as capacity will be limited to 4 students at first.

  • Ballet I — Sundays at 1 p.m. starting September 13
  • Pointe — Sundays at 2 p.m. 
  • Both with Beverly at Midtown (1301 Locust St, 2nd Floor)

POUND Returns

Unleash your rock band dreams in this addictive fusion of simulated drumming and lots (and lots) of lower body conditioning. (Did we mention all the squats??) “Pound” out all your pandemic stress at the studio, or follow along from home (wooden spoons make a perfectly fine substitute for drum sticks, trust us, we tried it).
  • Mondays at 6:30 p.m. with Rachel, starting September 14

Special Events

Labor Day Outdoor Dance Party

Start the holiday right with a late-morning cardio mashup. Kids welcome, too — the music and moves will be appropriate for all ages.

Frisky Friday Striptease Returns

Our signature striptease dance parties are back, now available both virtually and in-studio! First up, a Burlesque “Mask-querade” on Sept. 25. Masks are essential accessories these days, so we’re gonna play up the sexy mystique of keeping facial expressions hidden in this COVID-era Frisky Friday,  After a series of sassy cardio routines to warm up, we’ll break down a few postures, poses and hand movements designed to draw attention to the intrigue of the masked ‘poker face.’ Then, we’ll piece together a full combination to end the class with a bang.

  • Friday, Sept. 25 at 8:30 p.m. with Selene Rose
