Come check out a pilot “Urban Stretch” program created by our very own Kathy Silvestri, and tell us what you think! Kathy will lead a demonstration on Saturday, June 16 before our regularly scheduled Zumba class at the Arts Parlor. It’s absolutely FREE for members and class card holders, and only $5 for everyone else.
Wake up with an invigorating combination of tai chi, yoga and dance movements designed to elongate and strengthen your entire body. After a tai chi warm-up, you’ll flow into full body stretches, followed by posture and flexibility exercises. The 50-minute class ends with yoga mat work aimed at core strength. Class is performed barefoot to stimulate balance reflexes and tighten core muscles. Accompanying R&B music sets the tone for fluidity. If you have tight joints or injuries, no need to stay home – Kathy has taught this class to post-rehab clients who found it quite helpful.
