Pilates Returns!
Get your abs in gear during this powerhouse workout rooted in classic Pilates floor exercises with sculpting and a dash of cardio thrown in. Aside from strengthening your core, Pilates can lead to improved posture, balance and back strength.

More Barre Fit
You asked for earlier barre classes, so we listened! Build strength, stamina and flexibility using ballet movements in this power-packed workout. Expect a mix of isometric exercises at the barre, cardio dance movements and Pilates. Between this new Thursday section, the Monday night Barre Fit, and our Tuesday/Sunday sections of BalletEXTREME®, we now have barre options four days of the week.

Evening Power Stretch & Sculpt
If you’ve always wanted to try our signature Power Stretch program but could never make weekend dates, we’re experimenting with a new Tuesday night section. Work up a sweat as you flow through this challenging yet low-impact combination of yoga, strength training, dance and core exercises. If you’re looking to build strength and flexibility, but you find traditional yoga too “slow” or not engaging, this might be the perfect class for you.

We’re also continuing the two new programs we added last month: Cardio Kick, our unique twist on kickboxing which, of course, incorporates elements of dance, at 6:30pm on Mondays with Michelle in South Philly and our themed Frisky Friday dance parties, which include a double dose of instructors, plus wine, refreshments…and twerking. Due to changing instructor schedules and the fast-approaching summertime slowdown, you may notice that a few classes have gone on hiatus. Cardio Bellydance, Tuesday morning Dance Party Boot Camp, Sunday Yoga and our Beginner East Coast Swing series will not be on the schedule this month. Depending on interest and instructor availability, we expect to bring some of these classes back later this summer or fall. We’ll also continue our partnership with sister company Ballroom Bliss by offering two social dance workshops this month.

Bootylicious Beyonce Twerkshop With a Lemonade Twist
You’ll dance like Beyonce to Beyonce music. You’ll twerk. You’ll shake your jelly…a lot. It’s all going down this spring at the 2016 edition of our fabulous Bootylicious Beyonce Twerkshop, this time featuring some brand new routines inspired by her latest album, “Lemonade.” And yes, we will be getting into Formation! Unleash your inner diva and join all-star trio Sharice, Michelle and Deborah for 90 minutes of nonstop hip rolling, booty shaking, chest pumping, heart thumping cardio dance. If you’re ready to get crazy and a little naughty, get your tickets now because this workshop has been known to sell out!

Wedding First Dance Crash Course
Whether you’re planning your own nuptials or booking weekend trips to attend another couple’s weddings, these jam-packed workshops are designed to get you feeling comfortable on the dance floor. Learn a basic pattern along with an entrance, some turns and a couple of different dips. Kira Stein, an instructor at our sister company, Ballroom Bliss, will focus on moves that typically work well in first dance songs, so there’s a good chance you’ll be able to repurpose them to fit with your song. At the very least, you’ll have a foundation for dancing during any wedding reception!

  • Box Step: Thursday, May 19 from 8:30 p.m. – 10 p.m.
  • Swing: Thursday, May 26 from 8:30 p.m. – 10 p.m.

Spring Restoration: Zen Yoga Workshop
Unwind, relax and reset your body, mind and spirit in this 75-minute Zen Yoga master class. Unlike active yoga practices, you may not break a sweat in this session, which incorporates elements of yin yoga, but you will leave feeling calm and ready to tackle whatever lies ahead. There’s truly no better way to release stress and get ready to greet the summer with gusto.
