June Schedule Additions

A brand new swing dance fitness class starts this weekend, plus two kids classes launch at the end of the month.

Add a twist – and some swivels and triple steps — to your workout routine. Class includes a series of swing, jive and Lindy drills to get your feet and heart hoppin’, a review of the basic steps and time to practice with a partner. No partner required – everyone will rotate in class.

  • Saturdays from noon to 1:00 p.m. with Veronica
  • Starts THIS Saturday, June 1.
  • The Arts Parlor, 1170 S. Broad St.
  • $10 drop in, one punch on a class card or free for members. OR, pre-register for the month for only $5 per class!!!

Fam Jam
Dance off some energy and bring your family closer together in our new program for kids ages 7 to 11 and their guardians. No need to know any steps – just “follow the leader” as instructor Angela takes you through 50 minutes of jazz, hip-hop, Latin and even lyrical movements in this dance “sampler” class. In between routines, you’ll take breaks for party line dances, relays, freeze dances and other games.

  • Tuesdays at 5 p.m. with Angela

Kids Ballet
Children ages 5 to 7 will leap, twirl, arabesque and more in this supportive class specifically designed for girls and boys who’d like to learn the art of ballet without the pressure of auditions and recitals. Along with traditional ballet technique, class includes fun movement activities inspired by popular children’s music. The structured group setting encourages students to develop social skills, discipline, creativity, poise, confidence and musicality.

Mommy & Baby Yoga
Spend quality time with your little one and meet other new moms as you build back your strength in this 75-minute class. Start anytime after your doctor clears you for postpartum exercise and continue until your baby is actively crawling.

Prenatal Yoga
Stay active, relaxed and centered during your pregnancy in our 70 minute prenatal yoga class. Open to moms-to-be in any stage of pregnancy.
