Dance off some energy and bring your family closer together at our new Fam Jam class!

Stop by our South Street studio on your way home from picking up your kids at whatever camp or summer program they’re in. But don’t just drop them off – we need your fancy footwork, too.

Don’t worry, this is not a technique class and we’re not preparing for any performances. The goal is simply to have fun with your family and work up a sweat in the process.

Whether you like pop or Latin music, expect a little something for everyone in this dance “sampler.” No need to know any steps – just “follow the leader” as instructor Angela Wertner takes you through jazz, hip-hop, Latin and even lyrical movements.

The class purposefully includes a variety of music and dance styles to keep short attention spans engaged (kids and adults alike!), You’ll also take breaks between routines for freeze dances, dance relays and other games. You might even jam along to a couple of line dances you may have seen at parties, like the Cha Cha Slide and Cupid Shuffle. Or perhaps the mood might strike for a Soul Train…

Best of all – if we do our job right, your child should sleep well later that night (though we don’t make any guarantees.)

Because this is a more specialized class, we encourage families to pre-register for a month long session. This saves you $5 per class off the drop-in rate. We know it’s hard to commit to anything when kids are part of the equation, so we also offer the chance to make up one missed class at a future Fam Jam session. Make-ups must be completed within a month of the missed class. To schedule a make-up, simply email info@phillydancefitness.com.
