Mashup Mixtape

Get your booty shaking and your muscles quaking in the 2018 revival of our mashup workshop! This dance party is all about fun, creative fusions of popular music. The “mashup” genre involves two or more tracks mixed together to create a unique song. Often, mashups take the lyrics from one song and the instrumentals from another, but there are countless variations. You’ll recognize many of the songs in this workshop playlist, but we’ll bet you haven’t heard these mixes on the radio.

Philly Dance Fitness instructors Timaree Schmit and Lehla Olson are teaming up to lead this hour and a half of nonstop, high-energy cardio dance routines at our South Philly location. Expect a blend of pop and hip-hop styles, a whole lot of sweating and a killer playlist featuring mashups such as this Taylor Swift/Black Sabbath combo:

No dance experience required. Most of the moves will be designed to simply follow along. Ages 14 and up.
