February Schedules

Another packed month ahead with MORE new classes, a few time changes and two amazing workshops.

If you’re new to our programs, be sure to check out our two-hour Taste of Philly Dance Fitness mega dance party on Feb. 8, where you’ll get to sample tons of our classes, from JazzTech to House Party Fitness hip-hop. Next, we’ve got two Valentine’s Day weekend events to get you moving. Here’s the low-down on all the changes:

New or Back in Action

Midtown Zumba

Due to some instructor schedule conflicts, we had to shift things around at Midtown this year, but we’re bringing Zumba back this month on Tuesdays with one of your favorite instructors! Join Besiana on Tuesday nights for a high-impact dance party that will bring your energy level to the roof. (Note: The Cardio Pop class that had been at this time will be moving to our South Street studio, more on that below.)

  • Tuesdays at 8:15 p.m. with Besiana
  • Midtown, 1301 Locust St., 2nd Floor

Power Jam Stretch Express

If you’re looking to build strength and flexibility but you find traditional yoga too “slow” or not engaging, this might be the class for you. Our Power Jam Stretch program combines dance, yoga, strength training and core exercises to create a challenging, rejuvenating workout. This new “express” section led by instructor Lael will even incorporate a little plyometrics for all you cardio junkies who just love to sweat buckets. (Don’t worry if you don’t want to jump — she’ll provide variations for the more intense movements so that everyone can work at their own pace.) Since the “express” class will be about half the length of our usual classes, it’s only half the drop-in price. But don’t worry, we’ll be sure to amp up the intensity a bit so you still get a full workout.
  • Mondays from 7 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. with Lael
  • Cost: $6 drop in or FREE for members
  • Midtown, 1301 Locust St., 2nd Floor
  • Please bring a mat. We will also have some to use at the studio, but they will arrive in a couple of weeks.

Semi-Private Tap Technique

We restarted our semi-private Tap Technique classes in mid-January and we’re keeping it going every week in February! Drop-in any Thursday before Tap Tonic for only $10 or take advantage of this super-sweet discount deal to get one week FREE!

  • Thursdays from 5:45 p.m. – 6:15 p.m. with Pam
  • Midtown, 1301 Locust St., 2nd Floor

Time Changes

We have one schedule change at our Rittenhouse location (1624 South St.) and a couple of swaps on Mondays and Tuesdays at Midtown.

First, Tuesday Cardio Pop moves from Midtown to South Street, but will take place at roughly the same time.

At Midtown, we’re shuffling a few things around because Angela is unfortunately no longer available to teach for us on Monday nights. We didn’t have time to find a replacement instructor for the new Contemporary Ballet Technique, so that class will be on hiatus until we work that out. Tap Tonic will move to Tuesday nights, swapping with Dance Party Boot Camp. The Midtown schedule the rest of the week remains the same as this month. Here’s what the first part of the week will look like:

Mondays:

  • 6 p.m. House Party Fitness with Brooke (no change)
  • 7 p.m.  NEW Power Jam Stretch Express with Lael
  • 7:35 p.m. Dance Party Boot Camp with Lael (moved from Tuesdays)

Tuesdays:

  • 6:15 p.m. Cardio Bellydance with Sherrilyn (no change)
  • 7:15 p.m. Tap Tonic with Sherrilyn
  • 8:15 p.m. NEW Zumba with Besiana
