Creative Movement & Yoga for Kids

Dance. Play. Explore. Stretch. Imagine.

Children ages 2-4 will do all this and more in our Creative Movement & Yoga program. Using games, stories and other fun activities, toddlers will get an introduction to structured movement. Along with hopping, leaping, twirling and embodying various animals, they’ll even learn a number of yoga poses. Absolutely no prior dance or yoga experience required.

As the kids have fun getting silly on the dance floor, they’ll also be developing body control and social skills. And of course, getting lots of practice at following directions. Our goal is to have them leave the studio with new friends, lots of smiles and a sense of accomplishment.

Because this is a specialized program, we offer month-long series on occasion and also upon request for small groups. Gather four or more children and we’ll set up a class at your convenience. OR check out this new fall 2019 series at our Rittenhouse studio (1624 South St.):

Creative Movement & Yoga for 2-4 Year-Olds

  • Sundays from 9 a.m. – 9:45 a.m. (Rittenhouse studio) with Emily
  • October 4-week series (Oct. 6, 13, 20 & 27) — only $60. REGISTER HERE.
  • Pre-registration for the full series is required to ensure that we have enough students.
  • Kids should come dressed in anything comfortable for movement. No need for leotards or tights (though of course those are fine, too!) Likewise, no need for dance shoes. Socks or bare feet will work best.

Have an older child who also wants to dance? Check out our fall Pre-Ballet for 4-6 year-olds, held on Tuesdays at 5 p.m. starting in October. As with our Creative Movement program, pre-registration for the series is required to ensure that we have enough interest.
