04 Nov Battle of the Boys
There was a time when their music was all you ever wanted, all you ever needed.
So we’re bringing them back – all your favorite boy bands in one glorious, over-the-top dance workshop.
Backstreet’s back, alright, along with N’Sync, New Kids on the Block, Boyz II Men, 112, B2K and more. We’ll even blast further into the past with music from the quintessential Jackson 5.
And rest easy, we won’t neglect more recent heartthrobs on the scene, from One Direction to the Wanted (even though some of us are getting a little old to admit that we watch their music videos).
Remember our Lady Gaga Hip-Hop workshop from around this time last year? Well, Philly Dance Fitness president Deborah Hirsch and guest instructor Kimberly Dolan-Hess are teaming up once again to lead this hour and a half long “Battle of the Boys” in late October and early November.
After warming up, you’ll launch into a series of nonstop, easy-to-follow pop and hip-hop routines. No dance experience required – Deb and Kim will break down the moves to longer combinations so you’ll have time to practice before battling it out “on stage.” In boy-band performance tradition, lip-syncing is highly encouraged.
Ages 13 and up. This workshop will only happen twice and space is limited to make sure everyone has room to dance, so grab your tickets online now!
Check out some highlights from our first workshop:
And get psyched for the rumble to come with this classic music video of N’Sync’s “Bye Bye Bye” (And yes, you’ll learn that signature dance move.)
