Slow Jam Stretch by Philly Dance Fitness

Elongate and strengthen your entire body with an invigorating combination of tai chi, yoga and dance.

Join Kathy on Saturday mornings for Slow Jam Stretch, a unique blend of tai chi, yoga and dance movements. After a tai chi warm-up, you’ll flow into full body stretches, followed by posture and flexibility exercises. The 50-minute class ends with yoga and Pilates mat work aimed at core strength.

Class is performed barefoot to stimulate balance reflexes and tighten core muscles. Accompanying R&B music sets the tone for fluidity.

If you have tight joints or injuries, no need to stay home – Kathy has taught this class to post-rehab clients who found it quite helpful.

Slow Jam Stretch

  • When: Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 10:50 a.m.
  • Where: The Arts Parlor, 1170 S. Broad St.
  • Bring: Water and a mat. If you don’t have a mat, you can borrow one at the studio.
